About Young India Skills University (YISU)

Young India Skills University (YISU) was established on 1 August 2024 through an Act of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly, with a vision to transform higher education through skill-based and industry-aligned learning. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana serves as the Chancellor of the University, and the Board of Governors is chaired by Shri Anand Mahindra. YISU has received UGC 2(f) registration, enabling it to offer undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programmes in accordance with the approved UGC framework. What distinguishes YISU is its strong emphasis on industry-led curricula, hands-on practical exposure, and immersive real-world learning experiences that effectively bridge the gap between education and employment. Through this forward-looking approach, YISU is committed to enhancing student employability and nurturing future-ready professionals for India’s evolving workforce.

The spokes surrounding the map of India represent the 24 principles of Dharma, symbolizing the university's dedication to fostering ethical and moral integrity in its graduates.

The royal blue theme reflects the institution's commitment to trustworthiness and reliability, positioning YISU as a credible and dependable educational establishment.

Complementing this is the white theme, which stands for purity and perfection, highlighting the university's aim for excellence in both academics and practical training.

The inclusion of the seven stars symbolizes the Saptarishi Mandal, referring to the seven enlightened beings, further reinforcing the institution's focus on enlightenment, wisdom, and spiritual growth.
